Need Help Paying Bills

It's the worst feeling in the world to be stuck with a bunch of bills and no way to pay them. Most people who need help paying bills that arrive every month think that they just need more money. After all, a lot of the time, you get into these situations because of unexpected expenses – a blown tire, an illness that arrives out of the blue, a computer that breaks down – things you have to spend money on that you might have otherwise saved up for those bills.

Is there anyone who can help you when you need help paying bills when everything goes wrong at the same time as it seems to happen with some unfortunate people?

Basically, in these times of financial uncertainty, what you need to do is to always be on the watch, learning how to prioritize your expenses. You need to set 20% of your income aside as savings, first thing your paycheck arrives, and you need to work with the rest of it paying your bills by priority.

What do you need more than anything else on earth? When people answer that with the standard "food and shelter" reply, you have to realize that food comes first in that pithy expression for a reason. You can live without a house. You can't live without food. And by "food expenses you can't live without", we mean the essentials of three home-cooked meals a day with ingredients that you buy with all the coupons you can muster. You also need to spend on other basics – utilities (not the cell phone) and household necessities like soap and toilet paper. Nothing else (except perhaps basic transportation and school expenses) gets on that list.

Nothing goes on your list save for your savings, all of the above and your rent or mortgage. And even with your rent, you want to move into the smallest possible accommodations that you can possibly live a decent life in. You shouldn't worry about depriving yourself. You aren't. Whatever you save, you're keeping it for the future. You can never save too much today.

Once you have these their basics covered, you want to look at a couple of other things that can really catch up with you if you ignore them. You want to pay child support, and you want to pay your taxes. Turn your back on your child support payments, and you lose custody. Ignore your income tax obligations, and you might get arrested and lose your job.

If you need a car to get to work, that certainly gets on the first round of payments.

The thing is, those who need help paying bills such as medical bills, utility bills, vet bills don't need that help from the outside. They just need to be willing to help themselves in order to save more and be debt free .
